Contributed and administered by ICEsoft Technologies Inc., ICEpush.org is a place where enterprise Java/JavaScript developers can learn, share, and contribute information and ideas to a growing community of ICEpush developers. ICEpush draws on years of expertise with Ajax Push in ICEfaces/JSF, unleashing the powers of real-time, web-based collaboration across a variety of Java and JavaScript web application development technologies.
ICEpush is based on a lightweight, asynchronous Notification Core that leverages long polling over HTTP, and standard browser capabilities to enable Ajax Push in any Java EE deployment. The Core handles all intricacies associated with long polling, including connection management/sharing, and Asynchronous Request Processing - allowing developers to focus on the application of Ajax Push, not it's underlying implementation. Around the Core, ICEpush provides a number of integration bundles that deliver ICEpush capabilities to specific web development technologies like ICEfaces, ICEmobile, GWT, JQuery, JSF, JSP, Prototype and Wicket, etc..
ICEpush.org provides a range of development and support resources to benefit all ICEpush developers. Source code and integration bundles are available for download here. Each integration bundle provides a number examples illustrating the use of ICEpush, and the wiki provides complete documentation.
